Jisan stayed silent, staring at the boy who had helped them escape.
"Who are you? Why are you helping us?" she asked, a little suspicious of his intentions.

The boy just stared hard at Jisan with his deep brown eyes. "I'll answer your questions later. For now, we need to get somewhere safe."

"And where do you have in mind?" Ithil asked looking at the boy.
"A place," the boy said as he ducked under some bushes. He ran between some trees, leading them deeper into the forest. They finally reached what looked like a grave marker. The teen pulled it up and revealed a secret door. They walked down the stairs and into a small room.

Belle looked around the small room, keeping close to Tier. The Lioness stared at the brown eyed boy, her body tense. Belle kept her hand on Tier's head, the only way the girl could feel safe.

"I'm not going in there." Jisan said, sitting outside. "I don't trust him at all." she said to Kuuki, speaking in his language so only he would understand. "Plus I hate underground."
"As do I. I belong in the sky, not some hole in the dirt." Kuuki replied.

Thrujai, now actually paying attention, looked at Ithil and said "who are you calling lowly?" she walked side-ways ((for they were moving forwards, so she moved like- diagnally ((sp??)) )) over to Ithil and punched him playfully in the arm.

"I don't care. I'm not going underground, especially not with you." Jisan said bitterly, turning away from them. "You expect me to trust you just because you got us out of the castle? How should I know you aren't serving someone, and just brining us to them huh?"

The boy sighed. "You all have a spirit animal, don't you?" he asked.

"A what?" Jisan asked, confused. "Do you mean Kuuki? Sure, he's been with me since I was born, but that doesn't make him special or anything..." she petted Kuuki's head. "Does it?" she asked the falcon.
"It does." Kuuki said. "You weren't supposed to know of this until you had reached sixteen, but I suppose I should tell you now. The people around you, even him," Kuuki said, looking towards the boy. "were brought together by fate. Each of them, even the boy, were chosen by one of ten spirit animals."
"But...but what does that mean?" Jisan asked.
"It means that as you grow, you'll gain powers normal humans wouldn't obtain. In other words, you'll become part of the animal you were chosen by, and in turn, I will become a part of you." Kuuki answered.

"There is no way I can be lying to you, for, Kuuki just told you." The boy whistled quietly and a cunning-looking little animal, with a catlike body, long legs, a long tail, and a masked face came prancing over to them. "My name is Kiten. I snuck into the castle and dressed up as a guard after I saw you get captured. Now, I am trying to help you. This is my spirit animal. His name is Keishin."

Thrujai and Uvtrui looked at teh odd animal. "What is that?" Thrujai asked. Uvtrui, seeming too trusting, walked over to the creature and the began to sniff each other.

"Come on Jisan, we need to go with them." Kuuki said.
"Fine. I guess so..." she said nervously, getting down with the others.
'I wish I could see what a civet is...they sound so neat!' she thought sadly. "There isn't a whole lot of air down here, I'll need your help, ok Kuuki?" The falcon brushed his head against her cheek.
"Fear not little one, I'm here for you."

"Oh," Thrujai said, then she called Yvtriu vack to her, and leopard glared suspiciously at the civet. Then she stopped glaring at the cat and began to walked alongside Thrujai, who was now walking beside Kiten. Uvtriu kept her muscles tense, and they rippled under he spotted hide.

Jisan followed the others, using Kuuki as a guide until she could feel Thrujai's breathing, and simply walked beside her.

Ithil walked casually alongside the others. Draug ran ahead as he sniffed out the area.
"You smell anything?" Ithil asked him.
"No, nothing but dirt." Draug answered.
"Well, I figured that was down here." Ithil smiled.

Belle silently walked, along side Tier. The two looked around the tunnel, keeping to themselves.
"You're awfully quiet." Tier said to Belle.
"Yes, I know." Belle replied, "I'm just not feeling talkative."
