Uvtrui amd Draug immediatly stopped attacjing the men, and stalked up to the king. "okay," said Thrujai. "I will admit, we are the ones killing your men. But if you want us to turn ourselves in, you will have to have a chat... with them." Thrujai pointed up to the pack of wolves, called by Ithil and Draug, who were standing on tehw indowsill. Belle was standing with them, and she and her lioness jumped down also. "And us!" she added.

Lord Jiif sighed.
"I suppose you don't care for her life then." he said sourly. He drew a knife at his belt, and drew a small trickle of blood from Jisan's neck. "Allow me to leave, and I'll give her to you."

"Deal!" Thrujai said. 'I knew it would work. Our megar king is all bark and no bite.' she thought to Uvtriu. After the "king" had fled, Thrujai, Ithil, and Belle ran over to Jisan. "Are you alright?" he asked, while Thrujai untied the ropes that held Jisan's hands.

Jisan wiped the blood from her neck, and shivered at feeling it. The reason she didn't hunt was because she was afriad of blood. She suddenly ran off, and slammed into a wall though, then got to her feet and looked around frantically.
"I can't find Kuuki!" she yelled.

As the king stalked through the halls, he passed one of the soldiers who bowed his head respectfully. Once out of eyeshot, the guard raced down the hall to where the four "new arrivals" were standing alone.
The man pulled off his helmet, revealing redish blonde hair and dark brown eyes. He stared at them seriously. "You four need to get out of here...now! The king is not going to let this go. Follow me." He started running down the hall and then stopped and looked at Jisan. "He's yours, right?" The guy opened the small sack and Kuuki flew out and onto Jisan shoulder. The boy smiled and continued down the hall.

Thrujai nodded to Ithil and Belle. They nodded in reply and followed ehr over to the windowsill, where Jisan anjd Kuuki were waiting outside. Ihtil and Belle were up, andThrujai turned to the soldier. "Want to comr?" she asked him.

Belle jumped down from the sil and landed in a crouched position.

"I'm sorry, I should have helped you." Kuuki said, observing the slash marks on her back.
"I'm fine Kuuki." Jisan said, smiling. "It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be actually. I've experienced worse. What I'm worried about is the fact that we have nowhere to go. I've been in that village all my life, and it's all I know. Everything else around me is unfamiliar. I wouldn't be able to know where I am at all."
