Zach nodded his head in satisfaction. he could usually get what he wanted because of his reputation. "known to be tough" as he liked to call it. what he lacked in a emotions he usually made up in threats and strength. but with his true friends. a.k.a Ethilon, he could be a softie. but not in front of other people, excpecially girls.

((YAY!! I like the pic! Thanks Paige!)) Terriella stood on the other side of the line, not wanting to go through, but curiousity was scratching at her, telling her to go through."Too late now.I'm too curious to leave."she muttered to herself, then stepped over the line, becoming covered in an unbeilevable pain.It felt as if it was cold,so cold it burned her skin, and as if knives were being punctured into her skin, slowly and painfully. Then she made it to the other side,on her hands and knees, her eyes tightly closed. She opened her eyes and stood, the pain gone from her body. "That...was the worst thing I have ever felt in my life."she muttered.

"Okay, now we've got to get one more over." said Shadin, crossing her arms, "Once she passes, we can move on." Shadin stared through the hazy line towards the last girl. She looked frightened, the last to go through and watch the world behind her disappear. "I hope she hurries." murmured Shadin, "We could've been killed four times over with all this lagging behind." She decided not to tell the others what she had mentioned to Ethilon, about there being worse pain. It probably wasn't the best thing to say.

"Why do you keep speaking of pain and death? you know, i try to be happy with a good personality but if my future consists of sorrow and agony...well, thats gonna change," Ethilon remarked. Shadin shrugged and turned back to the barrier.

"Life is not as happy as we wish it to be. Life is full of sorrow and pain." Shadin turned back to face Zach, "And the Afterlife is no different." Shadin chuckled softly, "If you had met me yesterday... well, there's a big change."

Ethilon gave her a questioning look. "What do you mean by that?"

"Only yesterday- while I was on Earth- I was more easy-going, fun-loving person. Now... I'm this person that talks about how life is so painful and sorrowful." she smiled sadly, "I found out that when you have to, literally, live two lives... well... it's not full of flowers and candy."

Shadin laughed. "I wasn't full of riddles either." she smiled at Ethilon, "So you want the plain out version? I used to be cheery and easy-going, but after living a lift-time with my Master and returning to Earth in my original body I become moody and twisted. Better?"

Ethilon looked at her with an odd expression. "Yeah, it's better...umm, are we going to meet this"master" of yours some time?"

"As soon as the girl over- you know what?" Shadin was tired of waiting. She stuffed her hand in her pocket and grabbed the orange, red, and yellow stone. In her opposite hand, a whip of fire formed in her hand. She grabbed it tightly and whipped it at the awe-struck girl on the otherside of the line. The fire wrapped around her wrist and pulled her through. The whip quickly dissentegrated, leaving only a small scratch on the girl. "Let's go." Shadin turned on her heel and led them to a path.

(nice save there Paige lol) "Where does this path lead us anyways?" Ethilon asked. he had let the commanding tone fall from his voice. he did not want to sound like some rude punk. "i want to learn everything there is to know about our stones"

(( Thank you! )) "It leads to my Master's house." said Shadin, looking around, "He said he'd have the Gaikens here. He's always late."

"Gaikens?" Ethilon was confused now. "I've never heard of them. What are they and are they going to try to kill us?"

Shadin laughed. "Of course not! They're not violent animals. Fast- but not violent." Many slithering noises came from behind them, "Finally." Six animals came towards them, one bearing a rider. They looked like the strangest thing you'd ever see. They had bodies of snakes, but had front legs covered in fur and scales. Their scales were light green and the hair between them was a light tan. Each of the creatures had a saddle on them made of thick leather. The man on the largest of the Gaikens looked old- in his eighties, probably. A long gray beard fell from his chin, as did long white hair from his head. His eyebrows were very bushy, almost obscurring his black eyes. "Shadin." he said, "Are these the stone bearers?" "Yes, Sir. One of them does not hold a stone, but I do suspect her of being one of the Six." said Shadin business-like. The man nodded his head. "We have no time for introductions as of yet, so mount a Gaiken- all of you."

"Uh, Shadin, should i listen to him?" Ethilon said. He was worried. As before, his mind only reminded him of the times he had been lied to and betrayed. "i mean, everything he says?" Ethilon eyed the peculiar creatures before him. He thought they were amazing and, yet, they were scary. he would have never thought them to be gentle.

"Yes, he is trustworthy." said Shadin, walking upto one of the Gaikens with deep red eyes. She gently rubbed it's scales as she said, "Hey, Kensia. I missed you." She rubbed his head again and grabbed the sattle, hauling herself up onto Kensia.

Ethilon followed suit and got onto a medium-sized Gaiken. it stared at him long and hard, studying him. everyone was soon on one of the Gaikens. they all got into the saddles and watched the creatures, bewildered. Ethilon glanced over to Zack who looked at him with huge eyes. "Aren't they awesome?' Ethilon asked. Zack nodded. then he turned to Shadin and she was talking to her Gaiken.

"They're odd looking creatures, but cool at the same time."Terriella smiled, climbing onto the smallest Gaiken, seeing as Terriella was the smallest of the five teens. She patted the side of it's head, then looked at Shadin and her "master".
