Eon nodded slowly, plucking a blade of grass and chewing on it. 'we'll be ready' he thought to Nightfall. 'of course. we are one. we will always be one. and as one, we are one powerful monster' Eon chuckled and looked at Ganelon seriously again. "Nightfall and i will be ready. we'll train faster than any other rider in history."

Arion walked home, Saphron behind him. He packed his things and left, hiding the pain leaving brought him. He walked over to his girlfriend, Xana's, and told her the awful news.
"I'll come back." were his last words as he left.

Jakai looked at Ganelon with a 'why did you sell us out?' look. "Then we must prepare fast, in case they do attack before we are ready. So you all must start learning magic immediatly, first, Ganelon will tell you the basics of magic, and you can pass it on to those who are not present." Jakai took a deep breahte, knowing tyhat they all were eager, ywt a bit cautious about learning magic. "When you perform magic, you must use the elven language. you can put different words into meaning, such as saying Grow plant, and have an entire forest grow before within a matter of minutes. Yes, in is way magic is grand. But, if you try to do a spell that is still too powerful for you to have, whether you don't have the energy or experience, then it may result in Death."

Eon flinched. he would rather not die. and how did they persume that they learn the elven language? Eon knew basic words for objects from stories, but not alaborate things. "so if i say brisingr, i can control fire?" he asked with a frown.

"Not control, create. you can point it when you frst create it and make it go in that direction, or have ti catch something onfire instantainioulsly. But just simply saying the word does nothing, as you could see. You must picture what you want to happen in your mind and where you wat it to happen. And you must put energy behind it." "well, i would say that the easiest thing to do when earning magic is to first learn the elen language. The easiest when performing magic would be...... to wither change the way something flows, as in changing the direction of a little trickle of water, or sending out little sparks of eletricity." said Jakai, knowing that if they asked what the hardest thing to do would be, he had the answer prepared.

Eon nodded. "very cool," he commented. he was growing bored of waiting. he picked up a thick branch from under a tree and said, "could we spare? i would like to know more swordsmanship until the others come, and then we can resume our acts of elven language and magic."

"Well, alright. But i will use this!" he said as he pulled out a sword. The blade was black with a red hilt. Ther ewas a Saphire embeded in the hilt. "But i will save you some trouble." said Jakai with a smile. He put out his two fingers, and a red bet of what looked to be red-hot metal in a liquid bar. He ran it along the edge of his blade, making it glow purple for a seconds, as though it had been put under a blakclight. "This should save your blood. I have put a protrective spell on it so that there is a small forcefeild that is dull." said Jakai, offering the bladed end of the sword to Eon to touch.

Eon touched the sword, seeing as there was a clear forcefield around it that kept the blade to come in contact with him. yet it was still hard enough to break bone. Eon nodded and braced himself, scooting back and holding out his stick.

"so it begins," said Jakai with a small smirk. Immediatly he faked a jab at Eon ribs and hit his arm staraight down when he tried to block it.

Eon gasped as he jumped back. his arm hurt already. he jabbed at Jakai's head.

((could Jakai you know, hurt him a lot cuz he is an elf an a better fighter??))
Jakai used his elven speed to block the attack, and hitEon's stomach, but he couldn't get the full blow in before Eon smacked his sword away.

Eon felt the blow to his stomach at full force, even though it wasn't. he went to hit at Jakai's legs next, missing his aim and swiping the air.

When Eon missed, he had put his arm and weapon in the air. Jakai took his opotunity and hit Eon in a pressure point in his arm. Eon immediatly dropped his stick and blacked out.
"I think that is gig to be enough for today." said Jakai to Ganelon and the now limp form of Eon. Jakai took Eon and laid him under Warrkal's wing. Before leaving Eon, he gave a special poultice that would wake him up within minutes, but leave him with a bit of an arm ache.

Eon woke to darkness. "what?" he asked, shooting up from his lying position. 'you have much to learn in the blade, young Eon' "is that what happened?" Eon asked aloud to Nightfall. 'yes. you were too slow and clumsy. do not worry though as you were facing a master of the sword, an elf at that matter. it will take time.' Eon nodded and stood up, crawling from under the dragon wing and feeling sore. "i'm not too good," he said with a selfconsious laugh.

'oh, that is alright, honestly i was expecting less than that, so you did a lot better. i thought that most of you would stand there and wit to block my attack, but you took the offensive side. God job." said Jakai smiling warmly to Eon. "well, since your arm is sore, i guess we can'r spar,. Do you want to know what it is like to fly on Warrikal?"
