"Oh, no you don't," said Jakai calmly, "you have had it. since you were marked by your dragon.but be carful. if you use all of your energy, it can be fatal.You may call on your dragon for energy, but we don't want to lose either of you, let alone both!" said Jakai. Then he continued, "The elvish land is very far away, almost as far as from the Crystal Islands to to the Wilderness. All of you will be relying on your dragons. and also on your magic."

Eon nodded quickly. he didn't want Nightfall to strain himself yet, so he got off of him and walked, but stopped. "stay here Nightfall," he said, "hide for a while. i'll bring you food. you can't be seen in town." he noted this to everyone else to. "it's unsafe," he added, then bounded off towards home. he quickly went inside to pack a blanket and a wine skin. he filled it with water instead and shoulder everything. slowly he went to his grandpa, the oldest in town. "Grandpa," he said slowly, "i...i think it would be best if you went to live with aunt Gert. i have many places to go, for reasons i can not bare to tell. but i will tell you one day. i have to do this."
"but....where are you going? when will you be back?"
"i'm going far away, and i may never be back. i love you and you know it. aunt Gert will take good care of you. tell everyone that i disappeared if you must. i...i don't want to go. but i leave tomorrow morning."
"as you wish, Eon." with that Eon and his Grandpa hugged and cried a little.

Airia walked back to her home,tears in her eyes. Her mother wouldn't let her leave. She was needed to help the children. When she walked into the house,she slinetly walked back to her room,grabbing her cloak from under her bed. She wrapped her belt around her waist and then put her bow and quill on her back,then she laid her cloak over it.She grabbed a bag and shoved her clothes into it. She took a peice of parchment and a quill,then began writing a note.
'Dear Mother and Father,
I must go.I cannot tell why. I might not ever be back.Do not worry though.I shall be safe. Please tell the little ones I love them very much. I shall miss you all. I leave my love.
Love,
Airia' she wrote,then laid it on the table in the kitchen.She quikly walked back out of the house,bag in hand. Then walked back to the forest.

Jakai could feel that the youngsters, compared to him and Ganelon, were very upset about leaving their families and friends. But he and Ganelon didn't tell the kids that they were not only saving the dragon race, but all of humanity and a large amount of elves.

Eon and his Grandpa departured as Eon was worried about Nightfall. "Grandpa," he said, laying his hand on his grandfather's shoulder as he got his bow and quiver over his back, resting on his brown tunic, "i believe that i must leave early as to get a good start."
"...Eon.."
"i love you too. but my time has come and it is time."
".....no...not that...my...my chest." with that Eon's grandpa fell to the floor. Eon quickly picked him up. tears in his eyes, he dashed out of the house and to his aunt Gert, a very good healer. he waited a few minutes before announced that he was dead. "i love you Eon" where his last words. Eon cried as he ran, ran back to the house and packed many things. things that his grandpa no longer needed. he shouldered it all and slowly made it back to the clearing in a heap of exuastion.

"I think he will send us a few god archers to help them along." said Jakai.
"He might even send a Dragon Trainer, so as to perfect their learning about dragons and to help the dragons master flight, hunting, and fighting." he added, raising both of their hopes for the coming days.

Eon was mute, listening in on the conversation. Nightfall let out a growl of sympathy. 'sorry about your grandfather. i would have loved to meet him' Eon jumped at the voice and looked around to see if anyone else heard it. then he realized that it was his dragon. 'i didn't know you knew how to speak to me yet' 'everyday is full of new suprises' 'well..thanks for the sympathy'

"I was thinking, what if Trezden and Armand attacked us before we could train you and the others. Jakai and I would be able to take them on, but we might not survive the attack." Ganelon said quietly.
