Sam sat on the park bench, her baby, Jake, wrapped up and resting on her lap. people walked by them, looking at them with disgust. Sam rolled her eyes at all of them. "it's ok Jake," she whispered to her baby, rocking him slowly, "we'll be ok."

*** Talianna heard a knock on the door. She got up to answer it, putting her 'lap cat' on the floor. She opened it and saw her boyfriend, Chad and smiled. She ushered him in. "What's up" she asked. He looked troubled. "Something wrong?"

*** Sam sat Jake in a ratty baby stoller. she put a small blanket on him and haunched her sholders, walking out of the park. she headed for a back alley way, smelling fresh food. she looked and saw a pie baking in the window. slowly, she slipped it off, stuck it in the pocket of the stroller, and took off. she then went for the grocery store, having only 5 dollars to get some food and drinks.

*** "Yes." started Chad, " I'm breaking up with you." he sighed. Talianna stared at him in disgust. "Why?" she whispered.

*** Jake began to cry loudly. Sam picked him up and shook him up and down, trying to calm him down. he wouldn't stop. Sam cried out in frustration. with anger built up she put Jake back and kept walking towards the grocery store, heading first past a neighborhood.

Chad left without saying another word. Talianna tried to hold back the tears. She decided to go for a walk to get her mind off of everything.

"Jake, please," Sam begged to her son. Just then she ran into a girl, butting her slightly with her stroller. "sorry," Sam apologized.

Talianna looked up and saw a young girl pushing a stroller. "That's nice of you to take your brother for a walk" assumed Talianna.

"Come over to my place." offered Talianna, semi-disgusted at how nice she was being.

"it's fine," Sam said, also disgusted. she hated people taking pity on her, and she knew she could get by just fine by herself. she didn't need anybody to 'catch her when she fell'. "we're fine, it's ok," she added, slowly starting to manuver around the girl.
