Master walked into the room and looked at each of them, locking eyes with each for a moment.
"Hello." he said, his voice soft and grave, "I am Master Kaysanoff. I come to understand that three of you have stones, and two do not. Am I correct?"
They nodded.
"Good." he replied, "Now, I am sure you are all wondering what these stones are for, how they are used and the history behind them. Well, I will tell you. Shadin- since you've heard this before, will you set up the demonstration in the back room, please?"
Shadin replied with a quick nod and scuttled away towards the end of the hallway next to the northern-most door.
"These stones that you all possess have names. Before I tell you the names of them, I would like you to place yours on the coffee table and I will tell you their name and powers."

Ethilon hesitated but quickly placed his stone on the cold hard table in front of him. The blue ston began to glow brightly. The light was even stronger than any time before. He felt as though he was being drawn toward it, as though he was a part of it. "So..." he said, waiting to hear an explanation of his stone.

Master Kaysonoff picked up the stone and examined it carefully.
"Aquillo." he finally announced, "The Stone of Water. With this stone, you will be able to control water freely, being able to take it out of the ground, use it as a weapon, and many other things. You cannot, however, make it rain. That is the job for another stone."
Master Kaysonoff handed Ethilon his stone back.
"You should take good care of it, Ethilon."

Zach nodded and stuck his stone a little away from Ethilon's stone. it was glowing just as bright, the whiteness pure and clean.

As soon as he saw the white stone, Master Kaysonoff knew what it was.
"Frigair." he replied quickly, "It has complete control over snow and ice. It can create blizzards, but cannot control how large or small it is, or how long it will last."

"You are so weird, you know that?" Ethilon said with a chuckle. He rolled his eyes at Zach. Ethilon sat back, situating himself in a comfortable position. "Aquillo," he whispered. He studied the rock and smiled.

"i like being weird, you know that?" Zach said with a laugh, then rubbed his stone. "Frigair," he whispered, "I'm now like...the master of snow and ice and blizzards.....that's a lot."

"Oh, master of all frozen matter!" They all laughed, including Zach. Shadin shot him a look. They quieted down and Ethilon gave a small giggle. "Sorry," he chocked out, refraining from cracking up.

"you guys are hilarious," Zach said, trying to calm down. suddenly, he frowned in deep thought. a few minutes went by in silence before he said, "you know, i don't laugh, ever. i mean, really, i never laugh. i call people funny sometimes, but most of the time, i don't mean it. i don't really like people....but these stones have...changed me. you too Ethilon. don't you think it's weird?"

Shadin appeared from one of the rooms.
"The demonstration is ready." she said.

Takarra put the stone on the table. She was right there if he tried to take it. She didn't trust him, or Shadin. She didn't trust anyone, she couldn't..not after the death.
