'There are some rules, you may not kill anything that lives in the valley around us. You may only eatthings already dead or what we feed you.' Jakai finished as he tossed a large carcass, bigger than Warrikal, of a stag into the pen.

Rasshu dug in to the carcass happily, only eating his share of course, letting the younger dragons get their fill first. Aurora just watched them.
'Aren't you hungry?' he asked.
'No. I don't feel like eating at all.'
'Aurora, you made one minor mistake and it's over now. You need to let go of the past.'
'You mean five minutes ago, five hours ago, or five days ago?' Aurora asked. 'Five minutes ago I made the mistake of trying to run away from my problems. Five hours ago I made the mistake of fighting Trezdon and Armond alone. Five days ago I made the mistake of not being able to save my best friend.'
'That's a lot of fives.' Rasshu joked, exiting the pen and sitting next to her, trying to comfort her.
'They're rough estimates, but it sounds cooler that way doesn't it?' Aurora smiled, patting his head gently.

Jakai, finished eating, went into the pen. Tere an artificial wind blew, so that the dragons could fly in place without leaving the pens. Jakai walked over to Warrikal and began to pat him on the head.Warrikal hummed his reply in happiness, and then began to fly against the wind.

Taron was gliding in the wind with the rest of the dragons.
Ganelon looked at him and the others.
'Want to come up?' Taron asked him
'Nah. I'm okay for the moment' Ganelon answered.
'Aww, come on. Please' Taron pleaded.
Ganelon smiled, 'Okay' He stood up and ran over to Taron. He jumped onto the dragon's back with ease.

Rasshu looked at Aurora pleadingly, which was all he needed to do.
"Fine, fine, I'm coming." she said, faking anger. Then she looked up at him and laughed. She climbed onto Rasshu's back and he took off into the sky.

Airia looked into the pen at Aqua, who was flying up-side-down and doing flips. Airia smiled at her dragon.

Jakai followed the others and hopped easily onto Warrikal. Soon they were doing flips and twists and cork-screws. Soon Shihashu came up to the pen and hopped onto the babysitting dragon as another female dragon appeared to take her place. Shihashu and the great golden dragon, named Rishuka, began to flip and twist alongside Warrikal and Jakai.

'Well,well,well. Looks like Jakai has himself a friend.' Rasshu joked. Aurora smiled.
'I wish Keion was here.'
'You always wish Keion was here.'
'And that's because it's true.' Aurora thought, looking out into the sky.
'I can read your thoughts you know.' Rasshu thought to her after a moment. 'I was hoping the same thing at first, but they couldn't have survived.' Aurora sighed and looked back down.

Jakai could sense Aurora's sadness, so he had Warrikal fly over to Raashu. "you okay?" he asked. Shihashu was in the background, and she corssed her arms over her chest indignanatly.

'You could just tell him you know.' Rasshu thought to her.
'He wouldn't understand. None of them would understand.'
'She isn't fine. Bug her about it, she'll tell you eventually. You may make her mad, but I know for a fact she needs to tell someone about what's happened these past few days.' Rasshu thought to Jakai.

'Thankyou,' Jakai thought in reply to Raashu. "Are you sure there is nothing wrong? I could tell you what has been wrong with me, making me not able t sleep at night. I lost my sister, who was also a rider, to Trezdon and Armand. They wanted her dragon, which was Warrikal's mate. They eneded up killing both of them, and getting cash in for my sister and her dragon, not just the dragon." Jakai finished, looking at the ground.

"Really? That's terrible." she said, then sighed. "I know how it feels...loosing someone close to you. There was a boy, my best friend, Trezdon and Armand got an entire village we were staying in to attack us. He knocked me out and forced me on to Rasshu so we could escape. I woke up, and I heard him screaming...I heard him dying." she said, her voice dropping to a whisper. She brought her legs close to herself and held them against her body.

Ganelon, who had been listening, told Taron to go over with Aurora and Jakai. "I lost my whole family." He said, "So, we all have something in common besides being Dragon Riders."
