'What's wrong?' Rasshu asked Aurora as she suddenly quieted and lay her head against him.
'I've done that before, tricks with you, competing against the other, just for fun.'
'You need to let go. It was hard for me too, but Keion is gone, nothing can change that. You need to take a new start and erase your past.'
'I want to Rasshu, I really do, but loosing Keion was just too much for me.' Aurora said holding him tight as the night air swept around them.

Ganelon lay down with a smile on Taron's back. Taron tucked his wings in slightly to hold Ganelon in place, and then he did whatever came to mind. Corkscrews, flips, dives. He wasn't even competing, he was just having fun.

'Rasshu, how close are they?' Aurora asked.
'Not sure, should we check?' Aurora nodded. Rasshu swerved around, and took off back where they had come from, but they didn't need to. Trezdon and Armond((Did I do that right??)) were only a short ways behind them.
'Crap, they're on horseback now.' Rasshu thought. He turned back around, and informed the others of this new information.

Aurora nodded, not to confirm she had heard Ganeln, but to reassure herself his words were true.
"There's something I've been meaning to ask you, where exactly are we going?" Aurora asked.
'I've been wondering that as well.' Rasshu thought to her.

Jakai mumbled a few ancent words and began to float above Warrikal, they moved in unison through all sorts of twists and turns and flips. "How can yhey be catching up to us so quickly?" Jakai thought out loud. "Ganelon, I don't they are riding horses. I think they are riding haustries!" Jakai paused for a few moments. "losiercko" said Jakai. Immediatly his vision was enhanced and he could clearly make out the beings. Then his vision returned to normal. "yes," said Jakai solemnly ((sp?). "They are using the cursed beasts."

"hang on! We have a bigger prolem now!" Jakai screamed at her. "Haustries are mixes netween horses and eagles, but it's a mutation that went terribly wrong when it was first attempted. The beings have the bodies of horses, half of their face is an eagle, the other equine. They have horselags, but claws like a bird of prey. They also have giant dark wings that are made of steel feathers. The feathers cut anyhting when they are touched, and they are not made for really flying, but are made for speed and light-weight bird bones. The feathers are also used to relfect sunlight in to an enemies eyes to blind them." Jakai finished as he was looking back. 'All dragons need to go as fast as you can. If you are a younger dragon, when you get out of brethe then come rest on Warrikal. But put your human on Taron or Raashu, but ask Raashu for permission first!' Jakai thought quickly, as he was trying not to go insane from the pressure of the situation.

'Rasshu, turn around!' Aurora yelled. 'What?!?' 'Trust me.' Rasshu did as she ordered, and the two of them flew at Trezdon and Armond who were appearing in the sky in the distance. 'The sun isn't out, so they can't blind us.' Aurora reassured Rasshu. 'What are you doing?' Rasshu yelled. 'What are WE doing. And we're fighting. You're older than the younger dragons, and they won't be able to make it out in time, even if they do rest on Warrikal. We'll hold them off, but don't worry, we'll catch back up.' Aurora drew her swords. "Brisnger!" Aurora yelled, and her swords lit with fire, something she had taught herself.((sue me if I spelled it wrong, I don't remember how OK?  )) |

((uhhh, by thew way, Warrikal and Taron are both older than Raashu, that is kinda the point, if you had read it, of the whole 'old and wise' part was doing with Warrikal, so you are technically not the oldest dragon there, and you are ulling a really dumb move. and by the way again, i control Trezdon, Armand, and their beasties, so.... you have fun with that.))
'Wait' Jakai shouted in their minds 'Do not go in there. Haustries have the same kind of bite as a komodo dragon. There mouths are full of sharp teeth covered in diseases and germs. They eat rotting flesh. One bite from them, and you will die within hours, and so will Raashu if he is bitten. They also have an emergancy sock of venom.' Jakai finished as he saw the Haustries speed towards Raashu. One Haustrie struck out with a claw as he flew over head and scraped Raashu across the face. The other Haustrie, while Raashu was distracted, had taken care to be sure and slice a few gashes in the tendons between Raashu's light veins in his wings, make it harder o hm to fly.

"Rasshu, are you alright?" Aurora yelled.
'Yes, I'm FINE.' Rasshu said sarcastically. Aurora leapt off of his back, barely avoiding an attack by another Haustrie, and landed on it. She stabbed her swords into it's wing and neck, burning as well as wounding it, until she was knocked off. Rasshu swooped under her and caught her, as they rose up for another attack.
'It's too dangerous for you, go back to the group!' Aurora yelled.
'What you fail to realize is that if you die, I die.'
'And what you fail to realize is that I can handle them myself.'
'I'm not leaving you Aurora.' Rasshu said, flipping upside down and using his lower claws to slash out at the underbelly of a Haustrie.

((ugh, once again, i have told you. Trezdon and Armand are riding the Haustries, so if you would please fix it, that would help a lot. Trezdon and Armand are not elves or men. They are a mix of elves and men, so they are as light-weight and stong as an elf, with magic pwers as well, along wih the brute force of a human! Geez!))
Teh Haustries that had slashed Tarons' wing came back. He nimbly and grcefully avoided Taron and picked upAurora using his claws. He only carried her a few feet and then prepared to drop her, under the control of Armand. But then Trezdon, on his Haustrie, said "wait! Maybe we can make better use of her. Naw, might as well drop her!" he said, trying to give Aurora a false sense f hope that she might live.

Jakai saw Armand pick up Aurora, and then Warrikal caught his thougts. Warrikal turned on a dime and began zooming towards Armand. Warrikal hit the Haustries in it's body, but the wings cut him. The Haustries dropped Aurora, only to be caught by Raashu. Jakai looked at the Haustires and mumbled. "Inviablasiko!" Immediatly there was a large explosion in front of the Haustires and The were thrown backward. 'Let's go!' Jakai thought to the dragons as the sped away from the exploasion, using the smoke as cover.

((I know that they are there Suzanne! Aurora fell off of the thing before they did anything.))
'I don't want to hear a word from you, we're leaving with the others.' Rasshu said angrily. 'You nearly got us both killed! What the h--- were you thinking?' Aurora remianed absolutely silent. She didn't talk to any of the others, or Rasshu. She lay down on him and tried to force herself asleep, but the sleep wouldn't come.

Jaai and Ganelon were dicussing the situation in hushed toens, trying to let Aurora sleep. "Where can we sleep while they have Haustries?" Jakai whispered to Ganelon. "we could go to the gait?" Ganelon replied. "So we must." whispered Jakai. Then he and Ganelon veered north, with the other dragons followingin their wake. 'Fly up higher,' Jakai thought to the dragons. 'You can fly higher then Haustries.'

'Aurora, tell me why you wanted to go in there and fight like a complete idiot!' Rasshu yelled again.
"Just leave me alone Rasshu!" Aurora murmured angrily.
'You have to tell me first.'
'Just shut up will you? Shut up! I did it because I wanted to protect people like Keion protected me. It's stupid alright! But I wanted to prove to myself I could be just as strong as him and not die! But I'm not, I was lucky because there were other people around me.' she yelled furious, tears running down her face as she realized what a fool she had been, and remembered Keion again. ((Man, she sure has some issues, doesn't she?)) 'Now leave me ALONE!' she screamed. She stayed there, laying on Rasshu's back when she realized he was still flying funny. She got on her knees, and went over to heal the part of his wing that had been cut, then healed his face as best she could, but was nearly drained of all her energy. Rasshu tried to contact her again, but she broke their connection temporarily, and her mind was blocked off. She waited, laying there once more until she just cried herself back to sleep.

Soon all og the people and animals in the party were on the ground by a large river with a gate on the opposite side. Jakai had had to speak with a few of the elves inside the gate to et them in, but he made the under stand. Jakai silently awoke Aurora. "you must get off of Raashu, we are going to let the dragons walk themselves instead of carrying us, for they have done well" Jakai muttered as he healed the rest of Raashu's wounds on his face. Then they began to walk away from the river towards a giant forest. Where the shadows seemed as if they had scared off any other living thing but the elves and their dragons.

Aurora climbed off of Rasshu, and he followed the others. She watched him for a moment, then whispered something in elvish and vanished. Just before the gates closed, she ran outside, and continued running until she could hide behind a tree. She stopped the illusion, and breathed heavily as it took up alot of her strength, but continued on.
'Where am I supposed to go though?' she thought as she ran. 'Anywhere.' she decided after a moment. 'Far from here, so they can't find me.'
